How to make corrupt text

  1. Enter a short phrase in Original text.
  2. Choose Flicker, Glitch, or Cursed. Adjust marks above, through, or below your letters.
  3. Choose a character budget if your destination has a field limit. The generator reduces decoration across the phrase instead of cutting your words.
  4. Choose Copy result or Save .txt. Check the pasted text in its final destination. Copy original always uses your untouched input.

Characters, marks, and budgets

Decorations are Unicode combining marks. Emoji and existing accents remain unchanged, and only grapheme groups starting with a letter or number receive extra marks. Each direction adds up to eight marks, so rendering work remains bounded.

The budget counts UTF-16 units. A combining mark uses one unit; many emoji use two or more. UTF-8 bytes are shown separately because some services impose byte limits. The destination may apply different counting and filtering rules.

If the original already exceeds your budget, the tool shows it without added marks and asks you to shorten it. It never silently truncates the original.

Keep a readable version

Heavy decoration can be clipped, filtered, or awkward in screen readers. Use a lighter setting for usernames and captions, and keep essential information as plain text.

Removing combining marks from pasted text can erase real accents. This tool keeps the source instead of claiming to reverse arbitrary corrupt text.

Limits and recovery

Inputs may contain up to 2,000 UTF-16 units. CT02 means the text is over that limit; shorten it to generate again. Clear retains one draft for Restore previous text within this tab. Reroll changes only the decoration pattern.
